The whale shark is one of the most impressive fish and can be up to 20 meters long. However, despite its imposing appearance, it is one of the most docile and gentle species of the marine kingdom, therefore, swimming with it is an experience that can be done.
This is an adventure that, contrary to what one might think, is within our reach and is carried out within the security framework provided by tourist companies dedicated to offering whale shark swimming.
From the month of May and until September you can enjoy the largest number of species in one place. To enjoy this activity you just have to get on a boat that will take you 45 minutes out to sea to be able to observe them and accompany them a few meters. Mexico is a privileged place to carry out the activity, since there are few countries where something similar can be done, such as Australia and Belize, however, it is right in the Mexican Caribbean where it can be appreciated in all its fullness.
